If you’re trying to help everyone .. you end up helping no one. Getting clear on who you are, what your strengths are, who you’re helping and where you’re going is the foundation of your biz.

Think about it, when you’re searching online for help with something, your inquiry is pretty clear, right? Your future clients can only find YOU online if you narrow down your concept clarity.

Step Two: Create a website that is a virtual embodiment of your concept clarity.

Your website is your virtual storefront to the world, and visitors will make up their mind within 10 seconds of being on the homepage whether or not they plan to stick around.

Creating a website that easily portrays what you do and who you can help is critical to attracting your audience, and essentially your perfect clients, to you.

Step Three: Attract your perfect client with your lead magnet.

Nowadays, in a saturated sea of “join my email list!”, it’s important to stand out from the crowd and offer a valuable bonus right from the start.

Your lead magnet can be anything that relates to your biz – an e-guide, checklist, video, training, etc, whatever you know that will draw in an audience and appeal to your perfect client.

Step Four: Consistently grow an email list of adoring fans.

Anyone well-versed in online marketing will tell you – an email list is king (or queen!). Growing your email list is one of the best ways to secure a sustainable, profitable biz online.

People will buy from you because they know you and like you – and that connection is built over time, via an email list, by providing steady, valuable content.

Step Five: Build your online brand with blogging and/or a regular email newsletter.

Here’s where everything starts to work together … by growing your email list AND providing consistent content, it’s a win-win: you keep your current list happy with new content, while continuing to attract others and grow your list.

By sharing your tips, stories, and expertise with the world, you’re not only reaching countless others online, you’re building your brand with your awesome content. Win-win-win!

Step Six: Increase your web traffic and expand your audience online.

It’s not enough to have a great website with great content if no one can see it, right? It’s like having a beautiful house with no visitors … what’s the point?

Expanding online is like a farmer planting seeds … the more you plant, the greater your chance of success.

Don’t know how to increase your web traffic? Step outside your comfort zone and do things that you haven’t tried yet: film a video, self-publish a book on Amazon, or my favorite, guest post on a big-name blog, etc. You never know where your next paying client will find you.

Step Seven: Create connection and trust in the virtual world using webinars.

Yes, there’s definitely a lot of hype around webinars. And it’s because webinars WORK. There is no other platform that allows you to go from stranger to leader (in the eyes of the audience), in only 60 minutes flat.

Webinars are an incredibly powerful way to prove your expertise, provide valuable content, and sell your offerings to the world, all from the comfort of your home.

Step Eight: Improve your social proof and connect with your audience via social media.

Let’s face it, we live in a “Google it” society, and everyone looks up everything nowadays. This includes your audience.

Whether or not you like it, your legitimacy is measured partially on your social media presence … it’s not all about follower count, it’s about providing fresh content on a regular basis that ties in directly with your brand, blog, business, and perfect client.

Step Nine: Create an online course that your perfect client is dying to purchase.

Step Ten: Rock your launch, rake in the profits, and live happily ever after. (This is just the beginning)

Stop hoping to make a sale and plan your next big launch. It’s one thing to “hope” to be successful (sadly, this doesn’t really work) … it’s an entirely different thing to map it out, sequence your marketing, and create a big BUZZ for your offering.
