Yep, it’s true.
Yea girl … it’s exciting! But it’s also scary and a wee bit nerve-wracking.
Here’s the thing … I really liked my 9-5.
I was working for a great CEO and the marketing team that I worked with was amazing.
But, even though I loved what I was doing, I couldn’t ignore the entrepreneurial fire that still burned within me.
Deep down, I always knew that I wanted to leave corporate and go full-time with my entrepreneurial endeavors. But admitting it was also admitting that I could embrace uncertainty and the unknown.
And you know what … I know now that I CAN.
I can welcome the uncertainty.
I can embrace the unknown.
And if you’re still side hustlin’ (like I did for 15 months), you can probably relate to the internal struggle of wanting to stay in your “safe” space as an employee OR debating to take the leap as an entrepreneur.
If there’s one piece of advice I can give you, it’s to start scaling NOW.
Scale yourself while you’re still a #sidehustle entrepreneur so that when you leave, you already have passive income coming in and you can rock your biz full-time right outta the gate.
I want to make it clear that I didn’t just up and quit out of nowhere (bills can’t get paid with only hopes and dreams!) … I have streams of revenue already in place and systems set up that made writing my 2-week notice an EXCITING task instead of a stressful one.
Because stressing about your passion SUCKS.
And if you can learn how to scale yourself, you won’t have to deal with the sucky-stuff.
“Scaling” yourself and your business may sound super techy and boring, but it can actually be kinda fun.
Next week I’ll be filming a video with more about this … but first, I’d love to get your insights.
If you could have a private convo with me, what would be the ONE thing you’d want to ask?
I’m totally serious! If we were sitting down at happy hour together (I’ll take a skinny marg, please!), what would be the first thing you’d want to chat about?
Shoot me an email at Jessica@Jessica-DeBry.com and let me know.❤️️
